📝 Project Overview 📝
Ark is trying to increase blockchain adoption through simplyfying its development.
This wil be through a platform that will allow any individual or business to create their own standalone blockchain in a matter of minutes.
This will also include a host of software SDKs that allows for coding in a number of different languages.
⚙️ Technology ⚙️
There are three key components of the Ark ecosystem. These are Smart Bridges, multiple language SDKs and push-button deployable blockchains.
In terms of the Ark mainchain, this uses Delegated Proof of Stake consensus mechanism. This is limited to 51 delegate nodes currently.
Each delegate receives 2 ARK for each block they forge, and since blocks are forged every 8 seconds these delegates can make upwards of 200 ARK per day.
💰️ Token 💰
ARK provides the fuel to the Ark ecosystem. It acts as an economic incentive for the delegate nodes to remain honest.
The project issued 100 million of these tokens in their crowd sale ICO that took place in late 2016.
Ark has a block time that is much faster than many of the other competing blockchains.
👨💻️ Team, Partners & Development 👨💻
In terms of the Ark team, it is relatively experienced. For example, the president, Francois Thoorens, was a core developer at Lisk prior to founding ARK.
There are a further 11 developers who are working on the project. These developers have been hard at work as is evidenced by the GitHUb commits.
📈 Trading & Wallets 📈
Ark is listed on a number of exchanges although most of the volume is taking place on the likes of Binance, Bittrex and UpBit.
There is decent liquidity on Binance for ARK trading.
There are a number of wallets that you can use for ARK and which one to use will depend to a great extent on whether you want to stake or Hodl.
